Thread: Corpse Finding Tip

I dont know about many of you other scouts, but i personally had a major problem with finding the corpses of creatures i had killed.
The map is all well and good, but when you are dealing with lots of plant life or some rocky terrain it makes it rather hard to find the corpses to target.
I found this extremely useful.
-Open the options menu
-click the Misc Tab
-Enable "Show all object names"

This will bring up the names of all corpses on screen as you approach them. Though it doesnt help with corpses that have been lost due to bugged terrain, it will help you locate most of them.

Hope I was of some help to someone.

Good Huntin'

I often have to zoom my radar map in. When I'm out and about I keep it at 128 m. If I'm harvesting corpses after a big throwdown I zoom it in to 32 m. Works well for me, especially at night, but I like your idea better I think.

I was using the zoom in feature on the map, before I stumbled across this, though i kept on getting disoriented and forgetting which X's i had harvested already, lol.

By the way, does anyone know if there is a fix coming out for the bugged, corpse-eating terrain?

Another thing you can do, especially if the corpse falls below the ground, is use Ctrl+Shift+; to cycle through all available targets. Once you have it targeted, use the tilda (~) key to open the menu.

Good tip on the names display by the way.

This method can cycle through corpses!?!
Many thanks, i have been after a method to target them, beside the manual method for some time now

You can also toggle names of corpses on/off by pressing ctrl n

Cig,

Oddly enough, I kind of like the fact that they remain there.

I like to see all the dead gnorts and gloat.

I don't mind the corpses. Its the traps showing up on the radar that bugs me. Clutters the area.

I once tossed a Noise Maker and it came out the size of a large pumpkin. That was cool.
