I was curious how long I must sit in a camp before I get the full xp value. I want to get the survival xp first before I do the bulk of the other skills(already have lvl 2 skills in the rest) and not sure how long to wait.

I think (not sure) that 20 minutes gives you max xp (800, I believe). Hope that helps. I would not have answered, being unsure, but saw that no one else had posted yet. Good luck.

depends on how many visitors you have and how many wounds are healed. these things shorten the time needed to max out xp. using improved camps without visitors/healing i was unable to get the max xp in 30min. i think it takes atleast 35 min for that camp. the xp seems to be somewhat variable becaus i never got the same amount of xp for about the same amount of time under those conditions.

If your by yourself, doing nothing, but sitting there, in a mulit-person camp, i think its ~32 minutes.

Then you get 800 xp. if you get 800 thats the max till you get survival 3 then it goes up a little.

the larger the camp the more xp you can get as well... BUT the longer you must stay in a camp to gain full XP... with the 4th camp I usually stay in it around 35-45 minutes to get the full 1200 xp

I spent a good 4 hours grinding out survival xp for survival 4 yesterday. I'm not proud of what I did, but I am glad to finally be done with the Survival tree. I got myself killed twice so I had plenty of wounds (remember to heal your Mind/BF before heading out that way your wounds heal faster)and then went to the middle of nowhere and started camping. Once the camp was set up I ran in and out of it until my number of visitors was around 20 (I know, how lame!). Then you just sit. I found that I'd get the max 800 every 15 minutes. If you can, I'd recomment buying a few improved camp sites. Those have a max xp of 1000.

An amusing anecdote about how important getting a lot of people in a camp is to the XP...

I had just gotten field base and the Tarkin Memorial Brigade was about to do our standard Wednesday new recruit Fambaa hunt. I wanted to show the base off, so I whipped it out and showed everyone. There were nine of us there.

About 10-15 second after it was up, someone spotted a Fambaa...we all started screaming and yelling and we ran off towards it. I closed up the camp - and got 300 XP. This was LESS THAN ONE MINUTE with 9 people in the camp.

i was on Dath fighting some of the smaller creatures with a friend. There were 2 of us.

we would hunt about 5 creatures, then camp and heal each other like crazy.

I was getting 800 camping Exp every 10 mins, PLUS all the harvesting, pistol, combat, and healing Exp.
