Where does it go? What does it do?

Is there a chance this could get switched to scout xp once you have trapping IV if there is not another trapping line? (I dont see a continuation of this talent)

Trapping XP is capped if you don't go any further with it in the Scouting line.

There is a Trapping line as part of the Ranger elite profession.

Trapping XP isn't Scouting - it's Trapping, so it's probably not going to get switched over. When you max Pistol XP as a marksman, it won't get shift over to Rifle...same principle.

He's right: Trapping XP will cap out at 30k after you achieve Trapping IV.

My Trandoshan TKA isa Ranger, and I am mastering Scout again on Starsider (for the purposes of aBounty Hunter this time),and trapping is always fun -- now that they've beefed up the Wire Mesh, I may pick up my traps again. FYI, if you hit the cap while getting the rest of Master Scout, you will have enough XP to immediately train Ranger Advanced Trapping I & II =)

With Adv Trapping 2, I managed to get a trap to connect with a kimogila on Lok once... 1800+ Trapping XP =) The problem is that you'll die for that...

Just a quick question about traps...are higher level traps more likely to hit than lower level ones? or is it completely based on your trapping level?

I think that might be a tough one to find. I've noticed that all my traps hit consistently at Trapping II, even on yellow con mobs. But since they all hit at the same rate, roughly, I'd have to say the latter.

It's a mix. The lower end traps, like Wire Mesh, are less likely to hit larger creatures, even with my Trap Master skill level. The higher tend traps are likely to hit more, in my experience.

So I would say that it depends on the trap, the creature and your kill level.
