Toying around with the idea of a master scout with 2 lines of rifleman 1 line of swordsman and survey. Idea is to capitalize on the mind damage and still have high exploration potential.

Mainly I hate getting hit at melee with a rifle in my hand by critters with a near full health pool and almost no mind.

That's my goal template, at the moment. Its nice to be able to melee when I need it.

I am up to rifle III and two handed II and I am doing great with it. I start off with 2-3 Head shots then Throw wire mesh, Bone spur and noise maker equip my Two handed axe and due head blows with it. I take down My yellows no problem. And can do them one after another. Very little down time usually.

All,

I'm pure Scout/Ranger/Rifleman right now...

...I am the king of the "AT&T Shot" as my high school basketball coach would have said (long distance...get it?)

So as long as they stay long distances, I'm great. This isn't that great for PvP or against the faster critters...I'm cat food if I can't get a bleed or a one-shot on anything faster than me.

I started as a Ranger Rifleman and then, as many of you have, got sick of getting my butt handed to me in melee range. So I mixed in some heavy swordsman skills to help me finish off those Mind damaged enemies.

But I was surprised by the fact that I started to love swinging that vibro axe (and now 2 handed curved sword) around. In fact, my career plan has migrated from 2 lines in rifle and one in heavy swords to 2 in heavy swords and 1 in rifle. Who knows, it may get to the point of only using rifle for pulling. Well, maybe not, but I am enjoying the sword part of my rifle/sword combo much more than I thought I would.

I think that's a good combo, Arrys. Right now I'm a master scout and training to become a novice swordsman. However, I have no marksman experience which hurt a little.

That's the setup I'm using right now, working toward Rifleman/CH with a dabbling in Brawler for the 2h weapons. Works like a charm.
