There's a bug I posted in the general area as "Begun, the prone warp has." Judging from the responses it looks like it may be unique to advanced Scouts.

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Development&message.id=298650

Put simply, if you go prone too soon after moving, you teleport to where you were about five seconds before. Suppose a target moves out of maximum range; you get up, close to maximum range, go prone, and are suddenly out of range again.

This may be a result of higher Terrain Negotiation levels. I urge higher level Scouts to test this out and, if you get the bug, do a /bug report that includes your Exploration level.

Apparently starting to swim is akin to going prone, because burst running into water will also bounce you back to where you were. Same deal here, test and /bug.

Long ago they were cool. Now they're everywhere, and hard to tell apart.

Grinding is for coffee. Nobody "forces" you to grind. You play by choice.

Kap,

That's not just a Scout issue. It's a rifleman issue as well- one of the major ones, actually. It ended up on the Correspondent lists.

I've had this happen quite frequently. It is very annoying, and hopefully will be addressed soon.

...and due to the fact that we were once master scouts - it also affects us Rangers.

I read on another post somewhere around here that you can get around it by kneeling before going prone - haven't tested that yet.

Anyone who has been following these forums (and the Gorath forum) since the beginning may remember a thread on how to get a new monitor for you computer. Basically it's from punching your fist through it in aggro over the game.

Well, this little teleport trick almost got me a new monitor yesterday... sucks against creatures and aggro npcs...
