Thread: need 54k of meat need some info.
and if I were you I'd head to yavin. depending on your skillset, 40-100 meat per mob. fast kills.
Rolek,
The rule of thumb is "the bigger the critter, the more meat".
So the toughest out there is going to be your Krayts and Kimos. You'll get a big ole' buttload of meat off of them. But then again, you're probably not going to take them down alone.
I think what you're doing now is fine - if you can pull 150 off a single critter, that's really, really good.

I'm on Yavin now, murdering Mawgax's and Kliks.
Mawgax nests are interesting to milk. Each spawn seems to consist of two males, one female, and one or two youths. They youths drop 67 units of hide (I bet meat would be similar), female 87, and the male a whopping 97 units. I'm also getting 130 units from the giants I find. Keep in mind that I'm Master Scout with 0-0-4-0 in Ranger (specifically to be a harvesting machine).
Wild nests will have the four or five critters when you discover them. Take them out. While you are healing, another set will spawn. I've been averaging 4 spawns per nest before I have to tap it. Even if you are lower for harvesting than I'm running right now, you will probably get some serious harvests off each nest.
Kliks are even more fun. I'm averaging 5-7 per spawn, 3 full spawns before the first tap. 41 meat per klik, 74 per queen harvester, 75 per defender, 95 per shredder guardian, and a whopping 130 per queen. Best of all, since kliks are downright nasty, if you can run the ones chasing you through some nearby mamiens, you can get some help killing them. Oh, and sometimes they drop a gland thingy that appears to be useful, although I have no idea what to do with it.
Hope this helps.
Enraged Bull Rancors give around 180+ base.
(may be the other way around, things get fuzzy when you've got 8 of them hitting you at once)
Pretty easy to solo too.
After two days of killing them I was sitting on a stack of 40k that I harvested myself, and got another 30k from the random people I forced to come with me.
