Thread: how do I get hunting and the thing with the mask scent fast?
and Ive been making so many tents(yet I wish that goes to Artisans)and Ive been tired of destroying it, what is the best way(in other words whats the fastest way to becoming a creature handler)
IIRC, you need Scouting xp.
The ways of getting this that spring to mind are from harvesting resources from dead creatures or from approaching aggressive (red on the rader) creatures with /maskscent going.
Read the guide stickied at the top of the forum.
Honest, it will help at lot. Good ideas.

And - do yourself a favor - take a bit of time and learn about Scouting. It's that profession with the hunting and the thing that masks your scent in it.

if i understand correctly u dont have mask scent yet right? ... the best method ive found so far is to join with a doctor and go hunting, he can heal u while u take down creatures, for me I had to pay a trainer to teach me the marksman profession (im a scout) before I could use a weapon that made thing easier .... and I found someone kind enough to GIVE me a nice pistol and rifle, the guy actually paid for my marksman proffesion traininf as I had spent most my money on a weapon I couldnt use ... sigh ... yes im still a noob but im alive.

Yea like he said marksman helps akot,. Just get yourself a good rifle. I'm about 10k away from rifleman and about 20k from CH. And about 5k from pistoler. I've been playing about 2 weeks so.. Point is, I could have had CH in about 1 week with just rifleman and scout. But I'm also noviceartisan 2/1/1/3. And nov medic 1/0/0/1.
My point is CH could probably be aquired in3 days by me if I would have gone at it head on, instead of digging in the dirt, smelling roses, cooking, medicalforaging, and generally fooling around..
