I'm a master scout (among other things). I've been hunting/harvesting with this character for a long time. I have an arrangement with a master armorsmith - I sell/trade the hides I harvest for armor. The deal is mutually beneficial.

I now have received an order for segments. I was given a list of creatures to harvest for segments. They are as follows:

Kimogilia (sp?)
Fambaas
Krayt Dragons (that's insane LOL)
Sharnaff
Voritors
Nighsisters (another insane one)
Rancors

I've done countless Fambaas and Sharnaff, one Kimo (he surprised me) and have *never* seen a segment drop from one of these guys.

How does one retrieve a segment from a creature?
Is this list of creatures correct and up to date?

Berr,

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "segments".

I've killed half of the creatures on that list and I am a God at killing Fambys, but I don't think I've ever gotten a "segment" from one.

I know you can get pearls from looting Krayt's but thats it.

Can anyone else answer this?

Hmm, not an armorsmith but... don't armorsiths (or maybe tailors) make segments. He could mean that he needs hides from thos animals to make the segments he wants. Other then that I've never run into "segments" on any creature.

I killed (with a large group) a handful of Krayts last night. I received 5 segments from it.

Several days ago, while on Dantooine, I received 3 segments from the lizards (Vortiars) there.

Yes, segments exist. You have to kill 10 before you get a drop. They will appear in your inventory directly, so maybe one of your group mates got a drop and didn't say anything.
