I was solo hunting random creatures and lairs this morning, mostly low- tomid-levelmobs like gurrcats, murras, etc. I would kill an animal using my rifle or pistol, but not using a bleed shot. I would get no weapon or combat XP for the kill. When I went to harvest resources from the corpse, I would obtain the resources, but not receive any scouting XP. I would then see the message "One or more resource containers were left on the corpse of *whatever*," or something like that. I was unable to harvest any more from the corpse. This happened about five times. During that time, I killed other creatures and received weapon, combat and scout XP normally with no weird "resource container" message. I am nowhere near being maxed out on any type of XP.

Anybody seen this before?

Sounds weird to me.

Two things, though - were you one shoting them? Sometimes I don't get XP for one shots. And I'm also assuming that these aren't babies, as you won't get any combat XP for them.

As for the harvesting issue, I can only speculate that either there was a bug, or your inventory was full.

Some, but not all, were one-shot-kills. None were babies. My inventory wasn't full, and I did get the harvested resources. I just didn't get any weapon, combat or scout XP. I'll let the group know if I see it again.

I thought about that, but this character is practically a noob. He is nowhere near maxing out on any type of XP.

i've noticed that once you cap on XP it stops giving you XP. i have 1240 apprenticeship, but now everytime i train someone it doesn't give me the message that i got XP (which would be thrown away anyway).

so check the amount of XP you have, maybe your capped.
