Thread: ./throwTrap syntax
Is there any way to use a command like /throwTrap wire_mesh to throw a trap using a macro rather than dragging your traps up to an empty hotkey on the bar? If not, could Development please look into coding this? This way, we would not have to try to drag another stack of traps to the hotkey bar when we empty a stack during a fight.
The /throwTrap command is in the program but does not seem to do anything, especially as to throwing a specific trap.
Just a hope.
Barsh,
/throwtrap was an internal Beta command only. It isn't active now, and there are no plans to change that.
That's info direct from the Scout dev.

The best method we have for using commands for trap is to use the /ui command. You still need to put traps on the hot key, but if you are scripting combat with traps here is how.
/ui action toolbarSlotxx
The S in toolbarslot NEEDS to be capitalized. The xx is the number of the slot, which start with 01 for F1 to 11 for F12, and 12 for Shift F1 and 23 for Shift F12 on the hotbar.
Hope that helps some.
Does anyone else have frequent trouble dragging things to the hotbar? Sometimes my inventory seems to go into "no drag mode" where everytime I try to drag something, it just gives me the radial menu instead.
That's when I pray for a command line action that would let me put something from inventory into a hotbar button. I've had evenings where I was completely unable to reload traps into my hotbar. Grrr....

I've had this withone of thecomputers I use at work to play the game. Its odd because, with the exception of the video card its a faster computer than the one I use at home. The guy who uses the computer said he just drags with both mouse buttons held down.
BTW, that comp (at work) is an Athalon 2100 with 1GB PC2700 DDR and a GeForce4 MX440(?640?) with 64MB of RAM. The one I use at home is an Athalon 2100 with 768 PC2100 DDR and a GeForce4 Ti4200 with 128MB of RAM. The one *I* use 99% of the time (I don't have the dragging problems on this one) is an Athalon 900 with 384MB SDRAM and a GeForce4 MX440 with 64MB of RAM. At work we have Internet Access over the T1. At home I use DSL.
