I have been hunting mostly solo on Corellia and I am tired of it. Nothing really challenging anymore. I wanted to try Lok, but am short on funds and don't want to waste the money to find it too hard. I am looking for missions in the 25-30 difficulty range??? Are they there? The max I get on Corellia is 11 and REALLY tired of it. Want something more challenging. Any thoughts of where to go????

The main thing about planets like Lok, Endor, and Dathomir is that they are designed for groups. They are soloable (you should be able to do it as long as you have decent weapon skills to go with the CH/Ranger) but you are much better off in a group. If you go solo, expect to die. Make sure you clone either way. Snorbals are probably a decent creature to start with. Not too hard (especially with good pets) but they do take quite a bit of damage. They don't swarm (at least I don't remember them swarming). If you are in a group, Kimogilas are quite nice (just make sure the group is semi-coordinated and reasonably large). As for missions, I don't do too many. If you need money, harvesting resources is quite a good way to go right now. I think the missions on Lok are in the lvl 50 range, though. Enjoy yourself.

Was just on Lok the other night with a group, only died hmmmmmm 5 or so times. But in answer to your question...........there are level 25 missions on Lok, saw them on the mission terminals. The biggest problem is all the higher level aggro mobs you encounter all over the place. It's a fun place if you're careful and like a challenge.

If the hardest missions you are getting on Corellia are 11, stay the hell away from Lok. Mission levels are dependent on weapons and training. If you are drawing an 11, train some more. Not a flame, a statement of fact.

Get a group and try Dantooine. Closer and a cheaper shuttle ride. Huurton stalkers. 9k payout. Bring a group with pets.

If you can solo a herd of rogue bagerasets, then think about Lok with a group. Until then, train some more.

Been there, done that, got mooshed into critter chow

Lok = death

Seriously I just was there. there are robots with 10K+ Ham Constantly argo and attack for no reason, most of the MoB's are 12K+ HaM and take an instant dislike to you. not to mention the Kimo's (dragon looking lizzards with attitude) the babies are 20K+ HaM, the group I was with 6 people and a GSP found a wounded one with less then half health...easy kill..NOT we to a 50% casualty before we got it 1/4 health. Luckily our medic kept the GSP alive and we killed the baby (verey nice exp) But an Adult spawned and within min's had us all at the clone terminal.

seeing how we were way out of our league we went on to kill snorbals (two trunked elephants) they were'nt that bad but they still had 10k+ ham.

Soooo if you must go to Lok.....Bring at least...

1Commando

2 Creature handlers

2 Master Medics or above, preferably Doctors

1 Master Scout or above preferably a Ranger and

at least 5K so you can store clone data and tip entertaines to drop you BF

Guys,

Lately, Lok hasn't been as dangerous at it used to be. Seems like there aren't as many high level mobs spawning around randomly. And now that my beloved snorbys are gone, I usually go out to Lok for Rebel killing.

Thanx all for the advice. Guess I will stay on Corellia/Talus a little longer.

The reason Lok was so dangerous is because it had the worst "wall of death" in the galaxy. That and the "wall of death" was around the only city with a Spaceport on the planet. Kimogillas were spawning 100m away from the city, thats how bad it was. (That was certainly a surprisethe first time I saw it.) The only wayout was either blowing a hole throughor to swim down one of two rivers, with a group who all had good mask scent skills.

I just recently went back to Lok because a friend of mine needed Lok Leather and the "wall of death" seems to have been removed. So it shouldn't be as hard. Once you were beyond the "wall of death" it was pretty wide open and spawns had good space between them, till you got the the Imp base.

Lok actually has some really cool stuff on it once you get away from Nym's Stronghold. There is a Volcano where there are TONS of Kimogillas (its the dark red spon on the map). There is a very impressive Imp Base (just use the planetary map to search for a cloning center down south). There is also an HUGE crater that has some sort of criminal base in the middle of it. The craters are big enough to show up on the planetary map so you can see them there.

I am a Master Creature Handler / Master Ranger but mission difficulty is only based on my Pistoleer skills.
I only get CR13 missions from the starter world mission terminals and yet I can 'solo' many CR50+ missions on the advanced planets.

Starter world mission levels are a good guide for nonCHs but they just do not apply to Handlers.

1/1/0/0 will get you a Grand Wrix or GSP. Either will make up for a few boxes of weapon skill.

Lok has a few lower level mobs that you can get missions for cashif you find the place not to your liking. Things have changed a lot since I was your level but with a GW/GSP and some good petstims I think you should be ok against a Snorble. Note: Male snorble camps are social, females are not.

My suggestion is to ALWAYS buy return tickets to planets that you have never been to.Also remember that it will cost you another K to clone.

One other warning about Lok... on Eclipse it crashes frequently. I have not been there in a while but when ever I see several folks on my friends list go offline at once, it is a good bet that Lok went down again.

Lok isn't too bad....Dathomir is relaly the worst IMHO because of the visibility issues...when its night and it gets cloudy, you can't even see your feet in some regions LOL. If I were to put the big 5 planets in order of difficulty, I'd probably say, from easiest to worst

Dantooine, Yavin IV, Lok, Endor, Dathomir

But don't let that ordering fully decieve you, all of those planets have some really really nasty zones...and I'm basing those numbers on overall difficulty, not difficulty of the strongest mob you'll find on the planet.

If I were to rate the rest of the easy 5, i'd probably say

Talus, Naboo, Corellia, Rori, Tatooine

Lok is tame now. Kimo spawns are way down, unlike before as mentioned above. A good number of low HAM mobs there also. The missions aren't that great. I have gotten to many lairs spawning in the middle of Nym's camps and couldn'tbe attacked. Good thing about Lok is that it does have a diverse range of difficulty on the mobs.

The difficulty rating on missions has never worked properly, even in the beta it didn't. Gnort missions for example, still go up in difficulty rating until you reach the 3rd box in either Marksmen or Brawler.
