Thread: XP per Trap and Camp
I couldn't find a chart that showed how much XP is awarded per creation of a Camp or Trap. So I made one.
You don't get a system message telling you how much XP you're awarded upon creation of either, but you do get some. Below is the chart. I haven't been able to find the XP granted for an Improved Camping Kit though, not being there yet. If anyone knows, I'll update the chart. I need the Complexity of it too.

Just to make sure i understand, u get this xp form crafting not use? Meaning i can sit in town and craft to get this last 20000 k box instead of taking 5 hours and sitting in a camp? I craft camps quite a bit and have not seen a xp notice appear. Am i doing somthing wrong?
You are getting the XP, but not the System Message. If you have your Skills window open, you can watch the gains of XP happen every time you close the last screen of the crafting sequence. You get awarded the XP at the beginning of the countdown timer to completion.
But I'd actually recommend both sitting in a camp and crafting traps. You get XP just sitting in a camp, and after 24 minutes you have gained all of the XP you are going to gain. So disband the camp after 24 minutes for max XP from it while crafting traps throughout. If you're pure grinding, just make sure to use the 'Practice' mode.
Trapping I: Glow Juice Trap , can be made completely with bone. Requirements are 2 bone, 4 organic, 2 organic. This is a real good one for a crafting macro since it only uses one material.
I actually think up until a few patches ago...Camps gave you general crafting XP....Now they give you survival.
(I have 1000 crafting XP and I had none when I dumped Artisan)
Anyone know the formula for Wilderness Survival XP from camps?
Like
(x visitors)*(y seconds)*(factor for type of camp) = z xp, up to "n" per type of camp
?
Seems like they max out a a certain point...
