My second day in game, I read here how to fish but iv never seen the option,

can any scout fish?

how do I make a fishing pole? (bazar to buy one I guess?)

how do i know a good spot? (I know I want low veg0 high fish5 but whats the command to see the numbers?)

where to get bait?

Anybody can fish, regardless of profession.

To make one, you need Novice Artisan, a Weapon, Droid, and General Item Crafting tool, 7 units of Metal, 7 units of Inorganic, and 4 units of Chemical. The quality of the fishing pole is based purely on the Unit Toughness stat of the Resources you use. It's possible to find Inorganics and Chemicals that have no Unit Toughness stat, which means that the only thing that will affect the quality of your pole will be the Metal.

Or you can check the bazaar under "Misc."

Only way to find out is to cast your line. The Fishing Window will have this info. There's no other way to get it.



where to get bait?

Forage it or buy it off the bazaar.

Do you get any kind of xp for fishing or fileting the fish?

Aboo,

You get wilderness survival XP for catching fish, based on their size.

None for filleting them. Just catching.
