Thread: Hunting 4 vs. Tracking 4 anybody have some harvest numbers?

Basic problem, I am a MCH with alittle bit ranger and pistoleer, but it takes me along time to kill stuff so I thought I would try to master an offensive profession. The only problem is I would have to give up ranger and some of my scout skills to dothat and I would like to know how much I would give up in harvesting yields.

I frequently partner with a commando who has some novice scout. As a Master Ranger I will be getting 100 hides off a kill, she gets maybe 75-80, numbers as examples only. The numbers don't matter on the small stuff, but once you start killing the big things, it adds up quickly.

The number I was quoted when I asked the same question was "20% more hides with Tracking IV compared to Hunting IV."

hmm, if I can kill faster it might be a wash then. I kind of hate to give up /areatrack but I originally got the skill for /track but that is looking more and more like its not going to happen and /areatrack is only marginally usefull. Anyways, I started 2h swordsman yesterday, lets see how I can do with the points from the pistol I am giving up before I try to master it. Thanks for the info.
