Thread: Camp log-outs any better then non-camp log-outs?
From what I can tell they are not quicker, safer, and you lossall XP from the camp. am i missing something?
From personal experience . . . if you log out without disbanding your camp. No exp for you.
I suggest disband your camp, then log out. Camps are not static so they won't stick around. It is a waste of good exp just to log out with out disbanding. And we need every drop of survival exp.
so what exactly happens when you log out anyway?(I come from playing UO)
Do you stay in the world for a certain period of time, and then dissappear.... what happens if you log out and then are attacked by a red mob... do you take damage... could you die?
I imagine that you cannot logout if you are already in combat.
You're Avatar does sit around for a short period of time when you log out. Nothing significant, 10 seconds at the most.
If you have the priveldge of 2 accounts and play both simultaneously, log one out and have the other watch. Depending upon connection the character should dissappear almost instantaneously after /quit.
You can log out during combat, but I would not suggest it. . .just like in EQ your Avatar will keep fighting until you go LD. Yes, you can die . . . I have, I tried it.

there are two ways to log out, (Shift + Esc) and (/sit then /logout).
with (Shift + Esc) your character will just stand there like in UO, i'm not sure how long but i would think 30-60sec.
With (/sit then /logout). you will get a 30sec countdown and your character desappears right away, BUT you may log-in with a red right on top of you, so i never log out outside a city.
