oops forgot to write anything. k well i heard they nerfed mask scent xp and ive seen so myself but if they "nerfed it" is that permanent or just until they think they should change it

I really hope it is just a temporary change, hopefully they will change it to something more practical, they nerfed it before I got high enough to use it effectively, so in other words, I don't bother using it at the moment

Guys, this is a *role playing game*. The mask scent skill is there because it is a useful skill, not to make you go up in xp. The xp is a bonus because you are learning as you do it.


People are concerned about things like this because they are leveling for the fact of leveling. Why not just have fun with the game and let levels come as they do?

People don't care about the XP..they care about the fact that the skill useless now. Go read the petition in the SWG forum and you'll see that.

One of the reasonsthenerfsucks is I picked a scout because they are supposed to be able to get around easy w/o getting in trouble. I love being the escape artist/explorer in RPG's. In Shadowbane I played a scout. In EQ I started as arogue and then went to bard (selos accelerating chorus!). I love playing the character that can go anywhere, anytime, even if all I can do is look when I get there.


Before, the skill worked fine. The only problem was the experience you could gain with it, which from posts saying people were able to get 50k plus exp in a couple hours,I'd have to agree that it was overpowered. Why they changed how the skill works and not just how much experience was given is beyond me. As the skill works now, it fails entirely too much and is almost unusable. I can't go 200m anymore w/o being detected.


No I am not one of those whoran around mobs all dayto gain 1000's of scouting exp an hour but I did use it pre-nerfa lotfor missions and running from Bespine to Jabba's palace and what not exploring. No I'm not a Creature Handler yet, I still lack about 5k scouting experience, but I have been a master scout for a week. Even at Master Scout the skill doesn't work.

The subject is nerfing the xp...apparently SOMEONE is worried about the xp you get from it.
