Thread: Trap not Working bug really getting to me!
I've said this before, but people thought I was crazy or something...
There IS a bug (at least with my character) that makes it when I have only 1 trap left, and I throw it, NOTHING happens whatsoever. No status change, no message indicating trap failure, no nothing, and the trap is used up.
This really bothers me, since I like Adhesive Mesh and it only comes in two's.
This means that when I use one, there is about a 95% chance of thelast one doing nothing at all (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... doesn't more often than not).
This isn't just adhesive mesh, it's for ALL traps (I notice it a lot more with phecnacine and adhesive mesh, but that's probably because it's really the only traps I use).
So, I just want SOMEONE to admit that this happens to them, otherwise it has to be something with my guy, maybe it's because I'm a wookiee, I don't know, but this bug is really getting to me ![]()

I dont think you're crazy. It seems to be happening to me as well. The only traps that I throw lately are the adhesive mesh, glow wire and phecnacine. I don't remember it happening as much with adhesive, but glow wire and phen seem to fail abouthalf the time for me on my very last one.
Every once in a while I will get the no notification bug before the last one,butthat one dosen't bother me as much (don't have to reload). I haven't tried to test it with bone spur or wire mesh, so possibly it only effects the high level traps. Who knows...mabey we're both crazy ![]()

Delta included this bug in his listing for the Devs so hopefully it will be addressed pretty soon. In the meantime I share your pain.

ya know, lately I have been seeing that happen with my bone spures and glow juice. good thing It hasn't happend to much before the last one.
Hell, I got to where I simply delete the last trap if I am not in combat. It happens about 95% to me. So you are not crazy.

Yes, Delta, a Creature Handler that still uses traps.
At least one trap in a "stack" will hit the creature and just sit there with no notification of success or failure. Usually when this happens the trap sits there on the ground remaining visible where it landed.
I don't see it as a pattern where its the last trap, because I've seen it happen on the first, last, and all in between.
I also have the problem of the last trap "not working".
I've also run into a situation where there is some sort of "failure loop". Doesn't matter what type of creature I'm using the trap on or how well the trap was constructed. The only fix to this "loop" is to destroy the traps I have and construct new ones.
