Thread: Which planets offer the best Star Wars experience?

I started on Tatooine because whenever I think of Star Wars I think of the desert planet. I've had lots of fun here, but it feels like it's time to move on to another planet.

I'm a Scout 4/4/3/3, with Marksman 3/3/3/3, Brawler 0/0/3/0, Medic 2/0/2/2 and Artisan 0/0/0/2. I'm more into exploring than power-leveling or harvesting for money; I just enjoy being in the Star Wars universe.

I love sit and watch Tatooine's suns-rises and suns-sets. I like the sound effects of the sand storms. I like coming upon a group of Banthas and watching them just laze about. One time a group of Dewbacks chased me past a group of Rontos, which turned on the Dewbacks, so I stopped and for some time watched the two herds fight it out (the Rontos won).

I've solo-hunted most of Tatooine's creatures, up to Dewbacks and Banthas. I've participated in group hunts and bounty missions. I've traveled by foot from one end of the planet to the other (literally to the edges) and done many faction missions. I've seen every city and most points of interest.

So, for a Star Wars fan, where should I go next? I want to go to a planet that was shown in the movies, so I'm thinking Naboo, Yavin or Endor. I know the latter two are dangerous, but am I at the skill level yet where I can successfully explore them by myself? I have nothing against groups, group hunts are quite fun, it's just that I'm not in an association and most evenings when I play I like to go exploring and "see the world."

Again, I'm looking for which planet I should go to for some good exploration and a good Star Wars experience, not necessarily which planet has the best hunting opportunities.

Thanks!

Zio,

As long as you've got your graphics all the way up, Endor is the best bang for your buck. I keep waiting for speeders to start zipping past me.

Thank you for the suggestion, Delta. You know more about Scouting than anyone else so I think I'm going to enjoy Endor. As for the graphics, in-town lag forces me to turn off shadows, but outside of town when I'm soloing I have all the graphics and sounds maxed for the full experience (fortunately I have a system that allows me to do this).

Next step, some pre-trip research on Endor so I don't try to pet anything that will bite my arm off!

I'll second that vote for Endor. I made my first trip there last week and was blown away - it's really well done. Be very careful though, as there are plenty of things in those forests that would love to have a snack and won't think twice about taking a bite out of your hide

I also payed a visit to Yavin4 Saturday for the first time. Not so much of the "experience" you seek, but a fun planet anyway. And again, bring your maskscent - it's more than a little hostile.

Haven't been to the high-level planets, but Naboo was REALLY interesting for me... Try and run cross-country to the Lake Retreat - for some odd reason, the sounds on Naboo were just awesome. Course, i started out on Rori - which seems kinda limited that way... When you come up over the hill and see the retreat down below you? Amazing. Also did some fishing outside one of the cities (Kereen? or somethin like that) and really enjoyed the sounds of all the ships flying in and out of town. They could stand to be a bit more random, but it was still pretty neat hearin em pass overhead.

Zio, I'm much like you and enjoy just wandering about a planet and exploring all it has to offer. I started the game on Corellia, and have eplored every inch of that place. It was great fun finding things like the drall cave, or Lord Nyax's palace, or the Rogue Corsec base.

I have spent a little time on Naboo, and it was nice. I'm back on Corellia now, and I love it. It is so lush and green, yet with a lot of variety in plants and terrain. It's great when you're on a grassland plain and it begins to rain. It's my favorite of the beginer planets so far.
