Thread: Hunting/Explorer Mission Question
I am trying to follow the advice I read on this topic of Hunting Missions; select Hunting mission then goto Mission terminal and select a mission for the same type of creature in order to spawn the creatures and lair.
My question is this:
I have a mission for 9000 credits to destroy 45 fynocks, now would "fearful youth" fynocks be considered the same or do I have to find strictly fynocks only. I always see missions for decay mites, but only see putrid decay mites around. Just would like some clarification on this matter. Thanks.
I haven't had the chance to hunt Fynocks yet, but on Tatooine (Tempest server) I took an Explore mission to destroy Judland Eopies and then several missions to destroy Judland Eopie lairs. However, these lairs were protected by both Judland and Desert Eopies (the latter being much stronger and conning red). It seemed that for every two Judland Eopies I killed, I had to kill one Desert Eopie.
Only the Judland Eopies counted towards my Explore mission total because the Judland and Desert Eopies are different species even though they're always found together.
As for youths, when destroying a lair I found that both adults and babies of the same species counted towards my total, but when a group of the creatures was found in the open (not protecting a lair), only the adults counted towards my total.
Feature? Bug? I don't know, but hopefully that gives you some insight into how it may work in your situation.
Aries,
If the mission was just for "Fynocks", then you can only kill "Fynocks", not any of the other versions, to get credit.
These missions are designed to be hard and time consuming- they're "explorer" missions, after all. ![]()

I think at one time or another just about everybody has had problems with hunting missions. I usually don't even start looking for prey until I'm at least 3-4km from town. Plus, sometimes what I want to hunt isn't in the mission terminal. For instance, right now on Shadowfire Rori wild meat has really good stats but nothing that give wild meat is on the hunting missions, as far as I can tell, destroy missions, yes. Which means constant running back to town. Simply because destroy mission lairs seem to have fewer animals than those I find on my own. And that is only one animal not the other. And for some reason gualamas don't show on any mission terminal on Rori, go figure, no matter what I have equipped. One thing I've started to do lately is find two towns fairly close to each other, 8-10km, and just travel between the two. I've never failed to meet my quota of 45 before getting to the next town.

Plus it seems that the moment I accepted a mission the target critter in question dissappeared. I've also tried running between two cities to meet my quota. I ran from Keren to Coronet to Lake Retreat then back to Keren one evening (it took close to 4 hours because I hunted the whole way harvesting as much meat/hide/bone as I could) and never found 45 capper spineflaps. I found tons of everything else, but only could locate 15 capper spineflaps which leads me to believe there's a "bug" that reduces the spawn rate of animals you are hunting since I'd never before seen a shortage of capper spineflaps on Naboo.
