Thread: Info On Wooly Hide...where to hunt?
Hello,
Iam a Master Scout and also anovice Rifleman and I would really like to start a business
selling good Wooly Hide for the crafters.
I know that on Tatooine you can harvest it from Bantha, but the quality I get usually is very crappy.
Where and wich creatures have a good overall quality Wooly Hide???
I need something I can sell in the bazaar for 10 credits/ unit.
And take in mind this will be a solo hunt game.

I'm not sure about the quality. I believe its somewhere around 800 oq but I could be wrong.
I went hunting on Yavin4 the other day - mamiens have wooly hide. They don't BAF, and are relatively easy if you have a pet to tank for you. I picked up about 1100 units of hide in about 45 minutes of hunting. Yavinian wooly is specifically required for advanced padded armor if I'm not mistaken, so armorsmiths might be interested in this as well as other artisans.
Of course, getting to the mamien lairs can be a challenge in and of itself - Yavin4 is a fairly hostile planet

Tortons and Gualama's on Rori provide wooly hide, as well.
On Naboo, Gualamas and Pekos.

One thing to keep in mind regarding banthas is A) they seem to be the only creature on Tatooine that provides wooly hide, and B) some Master Tailor items require Tatooinian Wooly Hide. Once you find a Master Tailor, they'll buy bantha hides.
Also bear in mind that harvest qualities shift. One time you may find banthas with crappy hides, other times you may find banthas with good hides. They shift just like minerals and chemicals.
Corellia is a great place for Wooly hide. There are two very common, and very weak, critters that drop it:
Durni
Paralope
You can give missions (combat or hunting) for these. Also the Durni's have a slightly more dangerous (but still pretty weak) varient called the "crazed durni" which drops even more wooly hide.
