Thread: Fast way to solo Survival XP

With this method I managed to grind out Survival 4 in about an hour and half's worth of work, by myself (that's 20k survival xp). This method is based largely on a crafting macro posted by BrawlMaster which looks like this:

/nextCraftingStage;
/nextCraftingStage;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/createPrototype practice no item;

(Load this into your toolbar and use when resources are placed into crafting tool,the macro takes care of the rest and greatly reduces the time needed to craft objects. Thank you BrawlMaster, for providing this macro!)

So this is what you do. You need 2 generic crafting tools and LOTS of bone and hide. When I say LOTS, I mean L-O-T-S of bone and hide (thousands of each, preferably). Then you set up camp, and start crafting basic camps as fast as humanly possible, switching between crafting tools in order to bypass the crafting wait. Each camp will net you 31 survival points every 6 or so seconds (if you're quick), which means roughly 300 xp/minute, which translates into roughly 18k XP/hour (versus the 1.4k/hour if you just sat around and waited for the camp to max out). Oh, and be sure todisband and re-camp every 7-8 minutesto get your camp xp because crafting speeds up the camp XP process (this will probably boost it to about 20k XP/hour if you manage to stay on top).

But I'm warning you, this is not for the faint of heart. You have to be mad doggin this non-stop if you want to milk it for what it's worth, but if you want that Survival XP out of the way fast, like I did, and willing to put forth the effort, then this is your best option. Unfortunatley this took me the better part of 5 hours to complete because I didn't have the resources, or the money to getthem, soI had to start runningfedex missions (which can take forever because of shuttle waits). I was going to try the whole group camp XP thing, but all the usual "grouping" planets (lok, endor) are dead right now because everyone's trying to get holocrons.

Hope this is of help to you folks still in the grind.

Yorick,

This isn't going to help me with my Survival (it's maxed out, anyway), but it WILL help me with my DE grinding on my alternate character.

Thanks for posting this!

Sounds like a good macro, too bad I don't "grind". I prefer toearn all my XP the hard way....

This was the first post I read, so I tried it, and I've been at it all morning. Thanks for the tip...I'll be done with survival pretty soon. That's assuming my finger doesn't fall off

They way I got my Survival XP was to go to Dathomir, near the NPC you have to talk to for Act 2. Most people do not have maskscent and thus have to fight their way through the wilderness. I set up a camp, whatever the first camp you can build as a ranger is, and just sat there. I had an average of 4 people in my camp at any one time. After about 5 minutes, I closed the camp and reopened another. I was racking in 800-1100 XP per camp. Also managed to sell some stimpacks and traps along the way as well.

No Unlocking, now another year of grinding to get my Jedi.

Yes, you can. You can run many at the same time. Just have them all on hand and when one tool begins its countdown to completion, start a new crafting session on a second one, third, fourth and so on. This is particularly good for Adhesive Mesh traps which take awhile to make (20+ seconds if I recall).
