Thread: Survival XP Complete in 3 Days
Survival XP is about the worst thing I'v had to do in SWG so far. I found myself thinking, I'm paying a monthly fee for this? Well enough I will share how I did this over about 3 days, 4 hours a day and not every second was dedicated to Survival XP because other things always come up in SWG, so I may have completed Survival XP in a lesser amout of time. I was desprate so I came to the boards seeking any help i could get. Here are the steps you should take, the tips that i took were explained lightly from other postso I will explain them in detail.
1. The first thingyou need to build camps is resources. This is what can take you the longest, or the fastest because you need to harvest hide and bone from a lot of animals, can be the same animal many times, doesnt matter. I did this on Dantooine, harvesting Pikets and Bols in safe hunting groups. Why I say "safe" because we are here to harvest not get killed. Hunting groups are the best becausenot only do youget the resources you need from harvesting but you get weapon XP, Combat XP, and credits when your group completes a mission. While in the group try to have them camp in your tent, but people are always itchen for Survival XP so its hard to get your tent up without someone wanting to do the same. You need to get as much hide and bone as possible. You need atleast 2k to 3k which is possible through hunting or if your already rich I bought the last couple bits of hide from the baazar. This could take a day waiting and joining hunting groups, be patient its just begun. 2k or 3k of hide you ask? You'll see why
2. Now that you have all the Bone and Hide you need, I headed back to Theed. Craft a couple multi-person camps for yourself. I'v found sitting in a multi-camp alone for about 15 Mins gets about 600 xp max. In Theed setup your campright infront of thebridge which is outsideof the main part of the city. If you come from Theed Starport walk straight out you'll see it. This is a good place because there are huge of amounts of creature spawns so there is always people there. Setting up your camps right infront of this bridge will force people to visit by running through it. I even had people just sit down and join me. I kept them in camp by asking long questions and healing them for free.
3. While in campI ran a macro that crafts camps through practice mode giving you around 50 xp per practice camp. Now remember when you do this it wont show on screen but on your skill tree it addsup fast. This is why I said to get a lot of bone and hide, because even if its practice it still uses the items. Make a macro with this command and put it somewhere on your toolbar

You need two basiccrafting tools that create camps. 2 because when one is done crafting just click the other one so its non stop crafting no waiting. Click the first crafting tool and select Multi-person camp, of course youhave toyou be atleastsurvival 2 to get these so wait until then to do this. Once the screenopen load up the 8 Bone and 20 Hide into the area needed. Click next and it will askto continue. The next screen will say its was acrafted, it doesnt matter how it went its the same XP.When that screen is up click the macro icon you made on the toolbar and it finishes the rest for you. Remember too make real camps for yourself too, because these make practice one's, so dont run out. Even though its practice they give thesame XP. Now that the first one is done run the second crafting tool and do the same. So figure with the right amout of resources around 54 xp a camp every 15 seconds if your fast, sitting in your camp craftingfor 15 mins gives around600 XP per camp you should be well on your way. (the macro part is why i asked myself why am i paying for this) Theed is a great place because its very busy andas soon as you learn somthing run to the cantina someone will surely be happy to train you.
Hope this helps!

Ah HA! That's the command for creating a Practice item! I actually hit my "items on the commodities market" limit last night because I tried to offload 30 Multiperson camps I'd created, after holding onto the 30 others I figured I'd store for use... then I hit Wilderness IV, then I hit Master Scout, then I hit Novice Ranger and wow do I like those High Quality camp kits.
But that macro is pretty much what I use to bang out traps now, except they're not practice.
