Thread: Harvesting while group with pets is still bugged
Dang, I was wondering what happened.
I recently started grouping with my pet, and noticed that harvests seemed low, but I didn't know about the bug so I didn't put two and two together.
That would explain why my harvests seem lower than normal.
I'm an MBE. One of my guildmates has been hunting spiders for me on Dath. He uses multiple pets, all grouped. He didn't know about this bug, either. His harvests would have been drastically improved a) by not grouping, and b) had Sony fixed this in the first place.
Delta, please bring this to the Devs' attention.
Solution one - obvious - Don't group the stoopid pets. Ok, you lose some XP, but you gain in harvest. Your choice.
Solution two - Group, kill, disband, harvest, camp, regroup. Wow, good XP, camp XP, good harvest.
Solution three - Whine a lot and wait for SOE to fix the problem. Uhhh, see numbers one and two.
When they throw lemons at ya, find a way to make lemonade and sell it back to em.
JB
Scouts,
Yesterday I was hunting kaadu and noticed something. I'd killed a number of male kaadu, harvesting 25 units of avian bone from each one.
When I pulled out my sludge panther and grouped him. Suddenly my harvests dropped to 14 units. I disbanded the group and hunted again, and my harvests suddenly went back to 25. Grouping again dropped them to 14.
This was supposed to have been fixed several weeks ago. However, it appears to still be a problem. I don't know if anybody else has noticed or commented on it, so I thought I'd bring it up.
JB,
Mature response. I failto see why the sarcasm was necessary, or the accusation ofwhining. You apparently missed the spot where I said I was bringing it up so people would be aware it's still a problem.
Solution one - Duh. That was the point of the initial message.
Solution two - No. If you group to kill, and then disband to harvest, you still get the reduced harvest. You have to hunt without the pet grouped in order to get the full harvest. Further, it's not necessary to camp to group your pets. Assuming they been taught the Group command, you simply tell them to group and they're grouped.
Solution three - If you don't have anything helpful to say, say nothing.
Guys,
This is still an on-going bug, and it is still on my list for the developers.
