/makecamp /do something else for 20min /disband
wash rinse repeat.
You can't disband camps. They automatically disband at 51 minutes, but you've gained the maximum XP you can from it by about 24 minutes. The only way to AFK Camp is to fill your toolbar slots with camp kits and run a macro that automatically places a camp every 51 minutes or so.
- /ui action toolbarSlot##;
- /pause 3200;
I use 3200 because it allows for vagaries in the clock. You can use this macro with the /ui action toolbarPane ## command to flip pages too. If you built 144 Basic Camps, filled all 6 pages of slotsand went AFK for 122 hours, you could gain 46,080 Wilderness Survival XP 
Keep in mind that the dynamic spawn system can spawn a Lair close enough to prevent the macro from placing a camp.
Survivial XP doesn't "suck". It just takes a while. But there are multiple things you can do that will speed up the process.
1.) Get a group - the more people, the quicker the XP.
2.) Craft camps and traps - doing this gives you survival XP. A good way to get rid of your excess hide and bone.
3.) Tumble in your camps - set up a macro for /tumble; /stand and keep doing this over and over. You'll lose your action bar quickly, and the healing will increase your XP rate.
4.) Fish - fishing provides survival XP as well.
5.) Group with an artisan - find a friend who is getting survey XP and camp on him while he samples. The heal and the extra person will help out a lot.

Travelling with groups can max a camp quick. A group of 4-5 injured people can max a camp in less than 5 minutes.Look for groups going on hunts and join in. Whenever you pause to wait for people to catchup, throw down a camp.
