Guys,

Good news from the Devs. The combat designer let us know the following:

"So, you know how you can go prone before you shoot something, and it will take a few seconds to figure out where you are before it charges at you? But all of its friends will immediately charge right at as soon as you shoot, even though the thing you're shooting at hasn't figured out where you are yet?

Or how you can 'attack' something and its so far out of range that it will ignore you, but all of its buddies will run right at you?

Or how you can throw a trap at something and if the trap doesn't work, it'll ignore you, but all of its friends will come attack you?

Well I finally fixed all that, and the fix is in testing now, so it will be fixed on Live in the next major publish."

Looks like Rifleman will be the way to go.

Yay! I'm not a rifleman, but this still bothered me as a pistoleer. Thanks for the update Delta!

This is the best news I've heard in a while... Thanks for passing it on Delta...

Wow, I'll have to unlearn what I have learned about the crappy way it used to work and reteach myself.

Awesome! Now if I'd only quit teleporting when I go prone, I'd be all set.

I'm with Slart, nothing worse than going prone to shoot a mob and then be warped about 30 meters backwards, having to stand up and walk closer which pretty much negates the prone tactic anyway.

I wish they would fix Carbineers though. Actually thinking about switching to pistoleer or rifleman as they are not fixing the carbineer skill set.

Hey scouts and rifleman,

I too have endured the pain of dealing with the warping, and and the critters freinds icapping me before i get one shot in. I just want to say is that imalmost to bh. What ive learned from the rifle tree is if you can survive month with a t21 you gain none programed tatics that will take you far in the game good luck.

A true jedi would stop and help others in need. A real jedi seaks improvement of one self. The way I see it the real jedi are still few in number.

Ahhh... This will be nice. A couple extra shots can save me from getting incapped so often.

Still need to fix the teleporting, but that can be worked around by standing in place 5-10 seconds before going prone. I think the system has a problem figuring out when you've stopped moving. I noticed this when trying to place harvesters, and when trying to forage or fish. That, "You cannot fish/forage while running." message always pops up even when I'm standing still.

This is great news for every class Delta, but I take issue with that last statement! Everyone knows the ultimate ranged weapons class, Carbineers...the few, the proud, the masochistic! And for those that would ask: yes, I'm working on both scouting and carbineer; and no, I'm not going to be a Bounty Hunter. I am Sojourner, the Un-Min-Maxer.

Question... Is the "fix" make it so the friends don't see you now either, or is that all the same, and now the target also immediately jumps you?... tho this has not happened to me much, rather I go prone and then warp 20-30 meters away from the target, when I end up finally close enough to not warp, the target usually warps onn me then... not always , but often.
