I've been grinding survival exp for most of today. Its boring as all get out.

I've noticed a few things... one really nagging issue is that I have yet to get max (640?) experience from a multiperson camp kit. I've gotten close... like, 630ish... but never 640. I got 621 for sitting in a camp for almost 41 minutes.

Another thing I've noticed is that my experience for the same ammount of time spent in a camp is going down. I got 611 exp for one 15 minute session, and then I got 567 for the 15 minute camp after that.

What gives? How come I seem to be incapable of getting full experience, and how come its going down? Thanks.

Don't just sit there, do something.

Anything and everything you do in a camp counts towards survival xp. Craft other camps, traps, heal, sing or dance if you can, get visitors, but do something.

Crafting camps in a camp counts for xp, get a load of hide and bone and craft camps, for practice. You use the resources, but don't get the results, keeping your inventory load down. You get survival xp for doing this twice, once for the crafting, and once added into the camps xp, so you max out quicker. If nothing else, forage, which will drop your HAM bars a little and the camp will heal you, that adds xp to the camp.

Just sitting there is macro camping while at the PC... boring.

FInd a group, go hunting. Pop a camp whenever you can, your XP will build up in no time.

And read Delta's guide to scouting, it's stickied at the top of the forum... for an Imp he has some good stuff in there.

This is an easy way to grind out the survival XP.

When COA Act 2 came out, I worked through my portion. The one part where I needed to go to Dathomir and talk to a General. I had already completed the mission. I set up a camp about 60 meters from the general and had a constant stream of people stopping in to heal, etc. I managed to even sell some stimpacks I was creating. With Dathomir being an "advanced" planet, people were constantly coming in with less than full HAM's. Having 5-8 people in your camp at a time increases the rate at which you get the Survival XP. I got some 8000 XP in less than an hour doing this. I put out about 9-12 camps during that time, each time getting some 850-900 XP for each camp.

On the other hand, you can sell fish meat for incredibly high cpu. I got almost all of my Novice Scout Survival XP during a weekend fishing trip to Dathomir. And when I was done, I sold the fish I'd acquired for 20cpu. Prolly coulda gotten more, but didn't know that at the time.
