Sorry. My friend is simply a novice scout. I am a master scout. We are getting high quality meat together for some master doctors we know. When I harvest the meat, should i get a considerably higher amount per creature than he does? We aren't grouped together. I have tried on my own as well as with him and no matter who kills it, we seem to get roughly the same units per creature. Being a master scout, should i get a lot more per creature when i harvest? Thanks...

Theoretically, yes, as a master you are supposed to be more proficient in harvesting the resources from a creature. I noticed a little jump when I became a master scout, but nothing earth shattering. I think as a master scout you get increased XP from your harvests.

Like Ronge said, you should get a slight increase.

A master scout should be able to pull about 5-6 hide off a gnort.

A novice should only be able to pull 3 off a gnort. (Depending on the size, etc.)

So it's slight, but there. It becomes significantly more pronounced between a Master Ranger and a Novice Scout.

One suggestion, group with your buddy.

If you are working as a team, you will get 60% of your normal harvest, he will get 60% of his. That's still more than only one of you harvesting 100% from the animal, the penalty for not grouping is one person harvests, the other watches. Lets say you get 10, he gets 8 (I am not a math major). Grouped you get 6 and5, more than the 10 you would get alone. Makes even more of a difference with Rangers, as they do get quite a bit more.

And as a group, your xp for weapons goes up for the entire group too.
