Manu,

Fish is a BE component - and it is in demand. You can get a pretty good chuck of change for it.

You need a shellfish survey device to get the shellfish. There's a mission you need to run to get the schematic, but it escapes me at the time.

When I get a chance, I'm going to add that to my guide.

Last i heard 20cpu for good fish wasnt unusual. Mostly because very few of us fish. I do it a lot myself for my guild BE's because my CH's need the Pet Stim Ds. I would highly recommend reading Volsted's Power FIshing guide stickyin the Scout forum. Reference SWGCRAFT.COM for where the good fish meat is under current resources. It seems to last about 14 days before a shift. BE's care most about OQ and PE. Just dont be discouraged by the small amounts you fillet from a fish. If you use the power fishing guide and use a beach you will do better. Its still slow but when you get used to it. It goes quick.

Heres the quest for the shellfish harvester. They dont last forever so have a crate made up of them. The shellfish harvester can be made to macro while your fishing if your standing in water. Just keep your inventory open so you dont hit your 60 limit. Each fish takes up 3 spots unfilleted and the shellfish accumalate in 2's and 3's fast.

Oops, I guess I diddn't make myself clear enough. You only need engineering III to learn the schematic.

It's been a while since I did the quest, but you get it in Anchorhead, look for the npc under the bridge. After you run a few missions for him, he will give you a schematic for a shellfish harvesting tool. You need engineering III to be able to use it, but once you learn it you get to keep the schematic even if you drop artisan. It is not a limited use schematic, so you can make as many as you need to. The resources are metals and gemstones.

From my BE days, I recall that the important attributes on fish were whatever the last three of the four stats were. I think the first stat is Flavor, but I'm not sure. So if you're looking for fish to sell to needy BE's, go for the second, third, and fourth stats.
