Do you have to be at least a novice scout to loot lairs? Always been a scout...never tried it without, so I'm curious. I think that should be a nice perk from being a scout...kinda like fishing and milking. I know eggs are one of the lootable items, which leads me to my next question...
Can a Novice Scout harvest/loot as much milk/fish/eggs as a Master Ranger? Do you think that "amounts harvested" of these commodities should be affected by level?

Shouldammount be affected by level? Eh,would be nice, but not something I'd really care about either way.

I almost always harvest the lair. I do it at the end when I am about to destroy it. I don't however go looking for lairs to harvest...
As for the milk. I spent a while on night collecting it and still have not even tried to sell it

It's my opinion that scouts/rangers should be the masters of organic resource harvesting/collecting. It sort of hacks me off that a 15 point novice (or someone with no skill) can be just as good at this as a 77 point Master Scout or 140 point Master Ranger. Ridiculous! I personaly know of no one that actively collects fish/eggs/milk because the time required to collect as opposed to the monetary value is so low. By making the amounts of these resorces attainable reflect the level of the scout/ranger, it could give more "value" to these profesions. It would also help if these resources had more applications. Just my 2 cents...
