I don't fit your requirement but I'll give it a shot.
Your server trade forum is usually a good place to start. Some one will usually post up that they're looking for XXXX from planet XXXX for XXXCPU.
If your server has a RIN join it. Good little chat channel that most folks use for discussing Ranger/Scout stuff, looking for scouts/rangers to get stuff for them, etc.
Just watch the Scout and Ranger board. Sure these aren't trade forums but that doesn't stop the wonderful people of this game posting endlessly about what they want, how much they want, when they want it, and how much they'll pay you for it. The downside of this is 1) if it happens on the Ranger board they'll get chided, severely, so you'll probably end up spewing coke/coffee/pepsi/tea on your monitor 2) If it happens on the scout forum a couple of us will rib them then go back to the ranger forum and continue and 3) half the time they don't even post what galaxy they are on.

you can also, if you feel like doing more research prior to doing anything, check out
SWCraft.com (http://www.swgcraft.com/home.php )
Their search will let you look for specific resources, show only what's available, etc. It's handy if, say, someone asks you to find the "best" herb meat you can right now - you can select your galaxy, herb meat, any planet, only show available --- and pretty quickly get a list of what meat is on your server currently, and see what's best (looking at OQ and PE primarily).
Then if you're not familiar with what creatures drop what types of meat / hides / etc, you could also check
SWCreatures.com (http://www.swgcreatures.com/ )
and use the advanced search to narrow in on a particular planet / meat type. Like say, for example, that Tat Avian was the best avian on your server right now, but you're not sure what drops it? Doing a quick search on the 2nd site and limiting the planet to Tatooine and meat type to "Avian" lets you know that only dwarf and drooling nuna's drop Tat Avian. And we all know how MUCH we all love to hunt for Tat Avian.
