First, let me apologize to those of this profession for posting a topic that may be of no interest to you. I am part of a dying tribe of gypsy nomad wanderers on the Radiant server. We are a primitive people, built around the entertainer, melee, scout, and crafter classes. Travelling in mounted caravans with no homes, we take great pride in avoiding technology and using simple weapons to hunt and defend ourselves. Our animals are essential to this survival, as our constant companions in all our travels. Gypsy dancers and musicians are not merely healers, but the spirit and essence of our philosophy...

I am trying to offer a different perspective to these unpopular professions, to give us a new clarity in these times. With the new JTL expansion here, much of the planet surfaces will empty I imagine. Our own numbers have been dwindling as of late, since this is a difficult life to lead. If this sounds appealing to you still, please read our listing for more information in the Radiant Player Association forum... and contact Tzitzimime with any questions you may have. I thank you for your time, and the use of this forum...

Tzitzimime - Creature Handler and Pikeman since the beginning.
I continue to play this game out of love for my professions.

When the "New Game Enhancements" go live, I will leave this game.
You can give it a pretty name, but it does not hide your shame...

"I mean, what is a pikeman and why is it something in the game? The only other profession we didn't absorb into one of these iconic templates is the creature handler and only 1% of our players play that character type."

You're welcome to post here, but I'm going to have to bust you on the "unpopular professions" line.

You are very correct, scout is a great class and it is very popular. I was thinking more of the true, advanced scout professions... such as ranger and creature handler. Also, I cannot think ofanyone as a true scout driving a vehicle and wearing colorful composite armor. In the beginning, we all remember what it was like... running everywhere on foot and appreciating every single point of terrain negotiation. Now it all seems very insignificant...
