Can you actually get wilderness survival xps for CRAFTING CAMPS? Someone stated that in a post I found in the Squad leader board.

I can pitch a camp right at the edge of a body of water and fish while I am in camp, thus giving me an added source of survival xps, but it's still ungodly slow.

As I move through my holo professions I have had the unfortunate experience of Mastering Scout, giving it up, and then being forced to master it again, and again.
I am now on my third time through and everyones favorite line (WILDERNESS SURVIVAL) is driving me crazy for the third time!

I love scout, I really do, I have never given it up entirely, it's just to useful, however it's the skill points that are in short demand. Although, I don't think I am ever going to give up that line again, I just might have learned my lesson.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, you get Wilderness XP for crafting traps and camps. Been that way for about 6 months now.

Man-o-man I wish I had know that!!!
Lol. Thanks for the reply.

I hope I don't have to do this a fourth time!

You think scout survival is bad. You should try ranger survival.

An aside: Whenever I spawn a camp by a body of water it moves the coastline out so I can't sit in my camp and fish. Am I doing something wrong?

The system is leveling the ground based on the altitude you initially deploy the camp.

If you want to fish from a camp, you need to deploy the camp in the water, so that the ground is leveled to level of the water (rather than the other way around).

You need to find sufficiently shallow water to perform this magic trick though... It is possible.

Charley,

This was my big coup, way back in August. The first major change we convinced the Devs of. Guess we should've partied longer.

I suspected that might be the case. Any good suggestions on where to camp whilst I fish?

I've never tried it myself... But I have seen the feat performed in a lake east of Keren (sadly, I don't have the coordinates to the exact location).

Anyonewant to share their secret fishing holes?
