I really hadn't noticed it giving xp except when you use them. One of the other threads said they got xp this way so i figured i'd ask.

I USED TO take Defense Stacker 2....do you?

Yes, crafting camps does provide Wilderness Survival experience.

However you will not receive system messages for that experience... Though you can watch it roll in by observing the Skills window (or via the experience monitor).

Yep and is the fastest way to grind your way up this part of the scout tree. Basically just set up a camp somewhere, grind camps in practice mode for 15 mins, disband and then repeat.

It's server reboot time so I can't test this, but I'm pretty sure that I just got Survival XP for crafting camps whilst in a campsite, but when I crafted them in a city I got nothing.

Do you only get Survival XP for crafting camps in a campsite?

You get 2x time the resources xp for crafting camps anywhere I believe.

Guys,

You get XP for crafting camps anywhere. You don't get a bonus for crafting them while in a camp.

The XP is equal to twice the number of resources that it took to create the camp. A camp with 5 bone and 10 hide = 30 XP.

You won't get a notice about this XP, it will just show up on your XP indicator, like any other kind of crafting XP.

Ok but the point was made to craft them in a camp was so u also get the XP from having the camp, not because they thought u get more XP for crafting camps in a camp.

Crafting traps gives the same xp as well - you'll get more per item since traps typically take more resources than camps do (and some of them you can buy/mine the resources instead of having to harvest them all from corpses).

I don't think crafting traps gives XP...I tried it before...

It does, just doesn't say anything. Watch your XP while you doit. It will go up.

Yes it gives xp, I did the entire survival tree without planting one camp. I'm now grinding the survival tree of ranger this way while camping.

Yup crafted my way to master scout didnt use a dam camp the whole time..insanely fast 5 general crafting tools going with macro...uberness
