agreed! Scouting skills (Mask Scent, Terrain Negotiation) have become a joke since the introduction of speeders.
I dont know, I have a speeder, but I rely so heavily on my Exploration skills...
Maskscent is used all the time so that I can avoid aggro when I dont want it. Its good for when I am popping lairs, and dont have to worry about having a ton of mobs jump me all at once. And since Im melee, it lets me sneak in close to them without them going crazy, which lets me get the first hit in.
And terrain negotiation is really useful to me as a Melee person. Chasing mobs/people over hilly ground is a pain in the rear anyways, I can only imagine how annoying it would be if I slowed to a crawl.
And burst run effeciency is super useful too (again, melee and needing to catch up to something)...
Its the Camping/Trapping part of scout that sort of escapes me in usefulness.
you know...ever since i've let my inner scout out....i rarely use my speeder anymore except to travel to distances longer than 2Km.
Most of the time i just enjoy running around on autorun while i /tell people and chat with my guild.
but then again...that's me.
