Are you on an adventure world? The higher the level of the creature, and the closer you are, the higher the scout exp awarded.

And running around the same group gets you xp once per creature. Not once per circle.

Find multiple groups, and be prepared to beat feet when the maskscent drops.

course, would be too hard to harvest to get scout XP I guess. Nah, that makes sense.

Hi all im new to SWG and im enjoying it so far

But i've read on many other sites and forums that scout xp is easy to get by running, or getting a vehicle and finding red mobs hitting mask scent and running around them, and this will pile on the xp???

Ive run from town to town and only managed about 100-200 scout xp

and info would be grateful

Hi again thanks for your replys, sorry forgot to say im on tatoonie atm, and ive been running town to town running as close as i can to as many red mobs i can find but hardly get a thing....

Kill and harvest, you would be amazed at the XP you get. Weapons and Scouting, two for the price of one.

I tend to just concentrate on killing and harvesting too, easiest way to build up experince. Only really use Mask Scent went I have to travel from one point to another on Recon to earn some credits.

pffft....Since i found out i was effective against ST's with my pistoleer skillsit's gotten to the point where the only time i mask scent is when i look up and see a grauls ass above me.

Find a good Creature Handler and ask if you can hunt with him/her on Dathomir. Hunt for hard creatures. You might also get trapping xp while you're at it.
