Thread: Alertness skill tape....ummmm do scouts use this mod????????????
I could be totally off here, but I think everyone uses it. From what I always thought, and assumed, alertness was for, is responding to being attacked. How fast your character will react and start autoattacking when attacked by something else.
But that's only my idea on it, I have no game or even forum data comfirming or denying it. But +4 is pretty high for ANY skill tape, so hang on to it until you find out.

Not really something anyone needs, as cover is a very, very underutilized skill in the game.

It is supposed to give defensive bonouses we think, however we have found no appreciable difference in being prone or prone under cover.

It is supposed to provide rifleman witha better to-hit, as well as to give them defense against everything, but it's not working the way the Devs intenteded it to, because most riflemen don't bother sniping from long range.
Anyway, it's basically unused now. ![]()

we knew it wasn't working as intended (does anything really?)
Fundamental flaws in this though
#1 you have to be prone which means you have to kill the target before it gets within 15m
#2 by the time take cover works even at master level you could have killed the target
