Hi

Hi All,

I was reading the From Novice to Master doc and the fishing help and I got the impression that you can collect a lot of fish in an hour. Well my experiences are not so good. I am lucky to get ~200-300 exp in 1/2 hour which is way worse that just creating a camp and surveying in it. Anyway, I sit there and tug right when I get a nibble and tug up w/ a bite but it takes forever to reel it in. I am fishing in 4/1 areas so it should be decent. I get a lot of nibbles but between them getting away and the time it takes to reel them in I am way below what i would get just sitting and surveying in a camp.

Man - I hope I didn't convey that you'd get a lot of fish an hour. Because that's not going to happen. Even Volsted, our master fisherman, can only get about 200 units an hour - on a good day!

The best way to ease the grind through surivival is to camp with friends, and craft while you're at it.

Fishing is a past time, but I would not advocate making it part of your strategic XP gaining plan.

Heh. In reading it again I just gravitated to the words 1500 and in an hour. Wishfull thinking. In the end I camped and surveyed for my last 3k exp. Thanks for the reply.
