Thread: Trap problem...

why wont my traps hit? i made them myself with high quality stuff and ive thrown maybe 50 traps anywhere from 0m to 60mbut none of them have hit. what am i doin wrong?

It depends on what traps you are throwing, your trapping skill, and what you are throwing them at.


First, always throw every trap that you can make - not just one that's easy to make or can be spammed. The larger array of traps you use increases the chances that you'll get a few to hit.


Second, the lower your trapping skill, the lower level creatures you should be trapping. A Scout with trapping 2 shouldn't be throwing wire mesh traps at a Krayt. You need to stick to lower level creatures - below CL 14 (Gnorts, nightspiders, etc.) until you can get a wider array of traps and get up to level 3 and 4. Even at level 4, you can't expect to have all your traps hit the Rancors and Tortons you're attacking every time. So that's important.
