Thread: Camping Heal Modifier
If ya just sit there like a lump on a log you take forever to max xp.
Craft, double points, some for crafting in the camp, some for crafting the camps. Get a friend, medic preferably...duel. Camp. Heal, more xp for ya both. Friends / visitors equal more xp. Entertainer ? play - more xp.
My favorite, get with a a group. Go hunting on an advanced planet. Pop a camp after each set of missions, or each mission. The xp pours in. I was maxing xp in 8 mins with 8 people singing, dancing, healing, crafting and what all.
Go out and have fun and quit freaking grinding !!

Like JB said- there are about 10-15 different factors that increase the amount of XP you'll get - and there's always a bit of randomness thrown in as well.
To be sure to get the max XP, make sure you've got at least one of the following going on:
- Heal wounds or damage
- More than one person (preferably 2-3 besides you)
- Stay in at least 10-15 minutes if alone, less if you have more folks with you
And, of course, spend your time in camp crafting more of 'em. That'll speed it up.

Thanks Delta, and thank you to JB, though I dislike the judgemental attitude you gave me, you did answer my question. I don't grind to clear things up, and my friends list is nearly full, I have plenty of fun, I merely thought to do some house chores while I get the boring camp xp. and wantedto clear up the obvious misconception that it takes 15mins (without doing anythng but sitting) to get max xp. I don't know who started this rumor, but it is not true, and I wanted it cleared up once and for all, especially for the newer players.
Anyway, Thanks again, i'll post my questions elsewhere from now on. The people on this board are far too rude.
Ok, now how do we calculate this? I did the fifteen minute thing and only recieved 300+xp. I set up another and sat for 30 and got 621xp. I am totally confused. I thought 15mins was what was needed to meet max xp for a camp, there are certainly enough posts about it, but I have never gotten more than 300+ for 15mins of sitting. It always takes me 30 to get 600+.
I'm scout 4-3-4-3, and through all the camp grinding I have never gotten over 300+ in fifteen minutes. Somebody want to clear this up? Just to make it simple, i'm not using heals, or visitors, or any other thing, just sitting.

Somehow the first couple/three lines of my post got ate... I really hate the no edit feature. Didn't mean to sound quite so mean. The first couple of lines were tongue in cheek, setting the tone for the rest of the post...rats ...anyhow...
If you are gonna be gone while camping... small trick, do it near a heavily traveled area and mayhaps people will run thru, thats more xp. And I always figured it took 20 mins to max a camp, worked for me mowing the lawn last summer anyhow.

Don't let JB's slight attitude problem send you away from the Scout boards. That's just how he is.
We are by far the nicest, most polite boards on here - don't just judge from one post. That's just as bad as being rude.

That's right. Different sized camps have different caps. They don't really affect the rate at which the XP is accumulated (although I believe they do for the Ranger camps...I may be wrong on that)...just the total amount that you can get.
