Thread: What does Creature Knowledge do in the Hunting tree?

I thought this just gives more information on a creature when you "examine" it, but i'm not sure. I can't find any information about it in the Player's guide.

thats exactly what it does. It gives you information such as whether or not the creature DBs and the like. Much of the information is very useful.

how much of a difference in knowledge is between being a Master Scout and just having Hunting IV?

Thanks for the information. Not knowing the creature level without having master is a bit hampering when i'm also a creature handler.

Having master scout for the CL is a big bonus. The extra maskscent is useful in getting close to a lair for taming aggressive babies.
I would even venture to say that getting up to Tracking III under ranger has a nice benfit since you can see both specials at that level.
