Has anyone tried making the lvl 3 or 4 traps and giving them to someone who is say a novice scout or lvl 1 or 2 Trapping?
If so were they able to use them or not? Reason I ask is that it can sometimes be tedious and a pain to build traps and am thinking that I could make a little money selling these to people but not sure that higher skill traps can be used by lower skilled people. Would hate to sell a Noise Maker to a novice scout and then they can't use it.
I will probably check this out later tonight but since I am at work thought I would post to see if anyone had already tried it.

No they cannot. It says something to the fact that "you do not have the skills to use this properly", or something like that. Not knowing it, I was helping someone last night with a mission and mentioned to them that traps will help a bit. So I gave him some spurs and he couldn't use them because he was still working on Hunting I. Hope that answers your question.

Which traps can be thrown repeatedly at a single creature and still give xp? I remember from doing scout before that some traps only work once per creature whereas others can be "spammed" at a single creature to get faster xp. If anyone could jog my memory about which traps at each level allow multiple throws that would be a huge help, thanks guys

Wow, I didn't know that! I had always assumed all the traps had a limit of one use per creature for xp. It's great to know! Too bad neither of those traps are starting ones.
