I just finished reading the "From Novice to Master - How to Become a Master Scout Version 3.5 UPDATED! (GAME GUIDE)" and what I am going to post in this message in not covered anywhere in there.
I had some of my friends come out to my campsite and take out their droids. With my Astromech, I created a patrol point inside the camp and one outside the camp. When you enter the camp you will see the following message:
"You have entered [name's] camp."
"While you are in the camp, medics and entertainers can heal your wounds."
When you exit the camp you will see the following message:
"You are leaving [name's] camp."
I had the droid start patroling. All of my friends set their droids to follow my Astromech. After a few minutes I checked the status of the camp and found that it had had over 30 visitors. WooHoo.. My friends started following my droid.... Cha Ching.... bonus..... even more visitors.....
What does all this mean? It means more xp in less time. In 10 minutes I was getting the maximum xp for a basic camp.... I was not sitting there waiting 20 minutes or more.
I started the survival grind on my way to Master Scout at 8pm central and just after midnight I was quarter way through Survival IV. I bet the Dev Team did not see this coming.
There are no macros needed to use this procedure. You can further increase your xp my making camps for use or in practice mode.
This should make the survival grind much easier for most folks.
Enjoy....

LOL.
I guess this, the most basic of tricks, was so obvious, Brisc forgot to include it. Of course, the amount of XP is lower as the final amount is determined by the total # of visitors in the camp at the time of disbanding. That and the total time the visitor stayed counts towards xp. The run in and out trick is good, but fairly low powered XP wise.
Hey, did he include the tumble/heal trick? Medics love ya.
BHs, gotta love 'em. My short bus theory is getting stronger every day.

Umm, sorry to tell you, but that does not really speed it up too much. Bring 1, I repeat, 1 person who will tumble or wants to be a medic with you. You will get healed or you will heal the other person. The xp will come faster because of 2 people being in the camp the whole time, but also faster because you healing. Sorry to tell you, but that really was obvious. Many people already do what you said, and people are already doing what I am saying. It's not really a breakthrough or anything.

As JB said, the running in and running out thing doesn't really help that much.
You'll get more XP faster if you have the folks just sit there and heal.
I don't have anything in there that I consider to be an exploit, so the tumbler thing isn't in there, either.

I was originally grinding camp kits outside my hometown, but even with multi person it's tough to get over 600 xp in such an amount of time so I headed over to Corellia and put myself between the largest cluster of vendours outside Coronet and you'd be amazed of how many people are willing to drive through your camp within minutes- some even stops and tries to talk to you, sits quietly or heal themselves. I'm usually crafting campkits (bonus survival xp) and traps at the same time if I'm at the keyboard. Coronet or Theed are your best way to speed it up as well.
I've noticed a HUGE wave of increased BH's in the past couple days, I guess the bunker with mandolarian armor is what everyone wants, I have very little interest in that. Good luck with the investigation grind, you'll need it.

If those folks really are doing BH for the Mando, they're insane. Rangers and Squad Leaders (especially) are MUCH easier to level, and leave space for a master combat profession that's better too. ![]()
