can i make food....i got meat but i cant eat it?

As far as a scout is concerned I think you have two basic options with the meat. Have a cook heat it up for you and saute' it so that you can eat it. Or use it in one of your traps, forget which one it is off the top of my head butI do remember it takes 5 meat to fulfill one of it's requirements.

ahh thx for the information I was wondering what i was going to do with all this unusable meat I have.. although it would be nice if i could cook it on my campfire
