Thread: IS this how the xp is supposed to be?
Hello,
I was just wondering if the exploration and hunting xp is supposed to be like this:
When I get enough scout xp to move up these two trees, I will go over the required amount by a few thousand xp. So when I go train one of the skills up it sets my other skill BACK to whatever extra I had for the next skill box. Is this intended? I just lost araound 5k xp from explore 3 because of this. Thanks for your feedback.

Dont think I made myself clear on this so ill try again.
This is what happened: I had enough scout xp for explore 2 and hunting 2 plus some (lets say 5500xp) soo once I trained for explore 2 I got it no prob, and explore 3 went to 500xp, so far so good. The prob is this : my hunting 2 went back to 500xp( since its all scout xp I guess)so I had to retrain all that xp. Is this the intention or is my char bugged or what? So I just got enough xp for hunting 2(again) and as soon as I trained it guess what? Yep I lost about4500xp into explore 3 cause it reset my xp after i trained hunting 2. Thanks for your input.

You answered your own question with the following phrase: "since its all scout xp I guess".
As you see those bars rise in the skill boxes, you are not seeing explore 2 experience and a seperate hunting 2 experience. The game is allowing you to see how close you are to being able to complete one skill OR the other assuming you spent your 5000 scout exps for either of them. As soon as you "spent" those 5000 points on explore 2, hunting 2 went down to 500 xps (you couldn't spend your 5000 exps there since you had already spent it in explore 2).
Now lets say you choose to earn more scout exps such that you have 10,500 points. Now you will see a full hunting 2 bar and a full explore 3 barBUT if you spend the 10,000 exps on Explore 3 first, hunting 2 will once again drop back down to 500 exps. If instead you choose to train hunting 2 you will see the explore 3 bar drop to approximately halfway or 5,500 points.
How hard is this... really, basic math here. you go to the store you have 7 dollars there are two items that cost 5 dollars. you have enough to pay forone or the otherbut you dont have enoughfor both.
The exp pool is the same for hunting and explore they each cost x exp and x skill points per box. You spent those points on explore II the first time you cannot then spend them again in hunting. You didnt "lose" any exp, Those bars to the left of the skill boxes just show how much exp vs the cost of that box nothing else.
