I know mawgax and spined pucs do but I can't remember any other ones. Might be worth checking swgcreatures.com (or one of the similar sites) and checking what creatures drop what resources on what planets.

just wondering (thought i'd check the tailor forums) what leathery hide is use for. yes this sounds like a stupid question, i'm talking about the leathery hide that looks like a piece of hide in your inventory. i looted about 400 pieces from some pubam(duloks), wanted to know if its any different than normal harvestable hides.

It sounds like a stupid question? If it sounds like a stupid question to you, then would that imply you already know the answer, or think you should know the answer?
If you do not know the answer than i fail to see how the question is a stupid one.
As to the question. Im not sure i understand it being a total non-combatant.
I do not know what a Dulok is or Pubarn is.
I do know Tailors use Leathery Hide in most clothing (ie the stackable hides harvested from many creatures)
I do know Armoursmiths use many loot items with the word 'hide' or 'scales' in the name, which are seperate loot items each and have stats. (it will usually say when examined if its obviously an armoursmith thing it will say it is for armour)

imo the only stupid questions are the ones never asked.
the answers are in the post above.
the graphics on hides was changed a few patches back so that they actually look like bales of hide. Makes a nice rug by the front door if you want to store it

this is the same as the harvestable hides... Many NPC's will now drop resources as loot, it has often happened but now it is more frequent.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that does that!

I've got a stack at my front door as a door mat.
A stack of wooly hide on the floor on one side of the bed (generic house floors can get *cold*), and another stack on top of the bed (comforter!)

It's a GREAT decoration. I personally like the wooly hide under my feet, just b/c it feels so lush.

Leathery Hide can be used in any schematic that has a generic hide component. It is specifically called for in the Chitin and Ubese armor schematics as well as the Chef schematics for Terratta and Daneelin Fizz Pudding. You might want to check with an armorsmith to see if the stats are desirable to them.
