The recent announcement that Scout and Ranger skills will contribute to your overall health score Post-CU is a direct result of Owen's hard work. Despite what he may say, I was only along for the ride.
I personally believe that without this change, the Scout/Ranger community would have been able to meet in an elevator and still have room for the pizza delivery guy. With this change we remain viable hunters.
If you have the time, say thanks to him over on the Ranger Forum. I will start a thread after posting this. If you don't have time, make time and say thanks, he just saved the Scout profession.

A big thank you to Owen. Also to JB and all the other scouts & rangers that worked together to gather information and present different prespectives on and arguments about the role of Scout/Ranger in combat and, more importantly, the role of combat on scouts/rangers.

Thanks Owen!
Speaking as a newbie, I have to say it seems odd to me that more people don't want to scouts. It just seemed to me to be the obvious choice!
...like I said...I'm a newbie.

Owen, thanks for your hard work in getting this done.
However, the CU is so totally wrong in execution that I'm not going to renew any account I have, and have cancelled my RotW preorder.
Money is the only thing that the asshats running this game care about. They will no longer get mine.

Although i agree lots of things are very wrong and that rangers and scouts got the short end of the stick (along with SLs), there are lots of possitives from the CU and even in it's incomplete state im having the most fun ive had for many many months in live with my friends. So many of them have come back to the game now just because of the CU and most of them love the new changes and dont even get me started on how cool Rotw is
All in all, sorry to hear you dont like the direction it's going in and sorry that you will be leaving

The CU is definately a "long-haul" change. Its hard for some people to understand that it takes time to get big changes right (just as its hard for me to understand why anyone likes the old system better than the new). I too have friends coming back due to the CU, as the game became stagnant for them under the old system that allowed afk macroing and looting which favored a small few over the rest of the game community.
Until the CU, grouping wasn't fun for me any longer because their was no real need aside from a few POI's or dungeons that required groups. Now, grouping isn't needed, but when you are grouped the game takes that into account.
Oh, and thanks Owen. I may actually take Ranger back up now.
