why is my weapon XP maxed at 2000? Pistol, rifle and carbine are all maxed at 2000. Is there a way to train at a higher lvl being a novice scout still?

Have you trained past novice in marksman? If you haven't, all your ranged weapon xp will cap at 2K. Looks like all xp caps at 2 times the xp you need to advance to the next level. So for example, going from novice marksman to Pistol I takes 1K xp. The max xp you can have in pistol at that point is only 2K. Once you hit 2K in pistol experience, you won't gain any more experience until you train Pistol I. After that, the xp for pistol will start to accrue again.

Try training your weapon skills up, and things should be fine.

Just remember, the professions (well, the lower ones, anyhow), don't really have anything to do with each other. You can take on, and advance, as many novice professions as you'd like.

those points dont do anything either, they dont make you better in pistol, only the mods you get at each lvl do

Ok, ive tried to train in all 3 weapons, but every time it says they have nothing to teach me?? Am i bugged?

Two things I'd do:

1. Get another player to train you. You won't have to pay for it, and if there is a bug, its less likely to show up there.

2. If you can't find another player and have to use the NPC trainer, make sure you are going to the Marksman trainer and not the Pistoleer, Rifleman, Carbineer trainer. You can't train in those professions until you've attained specialist rank in the respective weapon in the Marksman skill tree.

This is what I assumed as well. Look on your map (ctrl-v) double click trainers, then double click marksman. It will list all the names of marksman trainers on your planet. Click each one untill the green pin icon that represents the trainers location is closest to you. right click the name or the icon and create waypoint.

Hope this helps.

PS rename the waypoint to Marksman trainer or something like that because it just names it the trainers name and it is easy to forget.

Thanks peeps, you helped out alot, was trying to get get taught by players but i got they had nothing to teach. so then i went to an NPC trainer and everything worked out
(except for the cash i had to shell out)

no your not bugged, look in marksman and make sure that you can train that skill by the meter, it should have a green bar beside the skill, if not you need to do on the job training to ge the bar green, just run and hunt nutill your told you can train that skill, then find some one who is willing to help you, remember, that people have a right not to help you if your bing a pain, so be polite, tip, and acknowledge that the helped you alot. And as a note, when you hear someone asking for a skill you have, train them, you get exp that you will need later on, that is the only payment you should expect/demand.
