Is there some trick to it since the recent "changes"? I have Explore IV and maskscent has not worked even once for me, ever, in more than a week now. And that's trying to use it *all* the time. Doesn't matter whether I walk or run. Doesn't matter whether creatures are agrro or not. Doesn't matter what level the creatures are.

It NEVER works. I mean, what is the point? Could someone explain this to me?

I too have this problem currently it has gotten to the point where I don't even bother to attempt mask scent anymore. It goes down consistently each time I put it up and then I have to wait till the timer expires to put it back up. By that time I have the attention of all of the mobs I was trying to mask from. I have all scout skills maxed and unfortunately see no more use for this skill and have removed it from my toolbar. So I've decided I'll just wast em all with my E11, and ask questions later. Except for the babies I /tame those first then wax them.

I played with maskscent a bit last night too. I had tried it a few times before (still after the changes), but since I didn't go to Yavin or Lok, I wasn't sure how it should be working.

Last night I got 135 exp from each of a group of greater shopoufs (sp) on Naboo. When I saw the red mobs on my radar, I unequipped my weapon, masked scent, and WALKED up to them. If you didn't know, holding the shift key is the default for walking. I got my exp from the first mob at about 35 meters, I walked closer to him to get to the second one, I got exp from that one at about 35 meters, and the third in the group gave me exp at around 50m. Once I got exp from the three of them someone broke my maskscent (there were no yellow mobs around, so it must have been one of those three), and I hightailed it out of there.

I'm a wookie with EXP IV BTW.
