So your a scout and your doing that darn box 4 on the trapping stack, yup 70,000xp needed , ouch. As we know this is a problem for scouts at the moment , if you develop your combat skills too high before you start working on the trapping skills your asking for big problems.

If your CL is above 25 and you havent started your trapping tree you may be stuffed, quick explanation , the lower tier traps ( in combintion with your low trapping skill )are not effective on higher lvl critters. So you end up trapping grey creatures for 1 xp each.

So to all new scouts working on being master start your trapping tree from day 1. As to how to get the higher lvl box you need the following:

1. Once you've ground out the first three boxes and gotten the initial traps you need to do the following, you'll also need to get yourself to combat lvl 23-25 ish, this is a must , any higher and your in trouble , the creatures will start to have problems being effected by the traps

1. before you do anything make a LOT of traps I normally havea tool bar set up with traps and as each trap goes off you get more xp per critter, so I place and use them in the following in order

i Stink bomb

ii glow juice

iii bone shard

iv glow mesh(i think)

v stun trap

2. get yourself to moeina (naboo)- best place I've found to grinding trapping xp kaadu and tusk cats (the hide is valuable at the moment too).

3. get yourselfan 80 lvl friend, if you dont know one , hire one, go negotiate with some combat bunny an hourly rate and get him to assist, trust me your gonna need him

4. DONT group , pick your kaadu or tusk cat missions from the mission terminal outside the moeina starport - pick them to the north, get there get yer lvl 80 hired killer ready .

5. throw your traps in order get the lvl 80 to shoot the creature ONCE , this draws aggro and lets you go through all your traps in turn. You then need to reduce the Creaures health to just below half then the hired help can kill them off.

6. This equals around 600 - 700 trapping xp per critter

It's labour intensive and time consuming but still the quickest way of grinding the 70k trapping xp for the top box. Of course if you can get yourself some Dweezel ( food that ups your trapping skill) as well then thats all good.
