I was curious if the quantity of milk that you can collect is tied to the hunting line modifiers? I am getting Scout 4040 to milk creatures, but if the hunting line will offer noworthwhile bonus to the amount of milk gathered I would like to salvage those SP. Any help would be appreciated.

No they are not tied to your scout/ranger level.

Shame the mechanic for "Music soothes the savage beast" isnt in game to replace Mask Scent for you

hehe, yeah I'll keep the Exploration 4 and maybe get some mask scent clothes, or try out these camo kits. I'm not so worried about mask scent breaking and messing up milking too much, just want to have some defense in the wilds.

Milking quantities are tied (like everything else, it seems) to the CL of the critter. Low-CL Swamp Yomammas will give significantly less milk than Hi-CL Swamp Yomammas, for example.
